MINERVA NO. 1 ROYALTY… SUPER GLASS, INSANE ZONING & SERIOUS PROVENANCE!
Some fluorites are beautiful… and then there are pieces like THIS that are simply NEXT LEVEL!
An extraordinary Fluorite from the Rosiclare Level of the legendary Minerva No. 1 Mine, Cave-in-Rock, Hardin County, Illinois!
THE COLORS ARE ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!
Deep royal purple, rich plum, electric magenta and glowing golden-amber interiors come together in an explosion of incredible color zoning!
And the GLASS… WOW!
Super glassy crystal faces, razor-sharp cubic formations, intricate stepped growth and those crazy internal color zones make this specimen an absolute visual masterpiece.
The contrast between the dark, saturated outer layers and the fiery golden interiors is INSANE! Backlighting reveals a whole different world of color, depth and geometry.
AND THEN THERE’S THE PROVENANCE!
This beauty comes with original historic labels documenting its incredible pedigree:
Ex. Ross Lillie Collection Bisbeeborn Minerals — EDS978 Miner’s Lunchbox — Reno, Nevada Rosiclare Level, Minerva No. 1 Mine, Hardin County, Illinois
For me, provenance like this makes an already exceptional specimen even more special. It’s not just about the colors and crystal architecture… it’s about preserving the history behind these incredible treasures.
SUPER GLASS. CRAZY ZONES. RICH COLORS. HISTORIC PROVENANCE.
Everything I love about collecting world-class Illinois Fluorite wrapped into one absolute BANGER!
The hunt continues…
