MINERVA NO. 1 MAGIC… ILLINOIS FLUORITE AT ITS FINEST!
Some specimens are beautiful… and then there are those RARE beauties that remind you exactly why you fell in love with collecting!
This extraordinary Fluorite with Barite from the legendary Minerva No. 1 Mine, Hardin County, Illinois is an absolute NEXT LEVEL masterpiece!
THE COLORS ARE INSANE!
Deep, saturated royal purples collide with electric blue-violet tones and glowing golden-honey zoning. The razor-sharp, super lustrous cubes create an incredible three-dimensional landscape of color, transparency, and crystal perfection.
And those gorgeous snow-white BARITE crystals!
The contrast against the intensely colored fluorite is simply spectacular. Every rotation reveals another hidden window of color, another incredible crystal formation, and another reason this piece is so special.
But what makes this beauty even more extraordinary is its PROVENANCE!
Ex. Dr. Jim Gebel Collection The Focal Crystal @focalcrystal
Exceptional aesthetics combined with serious collecting history… EXACTLY what I look for when hunting down the finest Illinois classics.
Pieces like this don’t come around every day. The color, the architecture, the barite association, and that unmistakable old-school Minerva character make this one of my favorite Illinois fluorites in the collection.
A true collector’s dream and one I’m incredibly proud to own!
