THREE MESSINA BANGERS — THAT ELECTRIC BLUE IS UNMISTAKABLE AND HEMATITE PHANTOMS

Three absolutely incredible Papagoite with Hematite included Quartz crystals from the legendary Messina Mine, Musina, Limpopo, South Africa .

Just LOOK at those inclusions. Brilliant electric-blue Papagoite sits suspended inside beautifully transparent Quartz, creating intense blue clouds, phantom-like zones and bullseye formations. Add the contrasting reddish Hematite inclusions and these become little geological works of art.

Papagoite is an exceptionally rare copper silicate, and the Messina Mine produced what have become some of the most coveted included Quartz specimens on Earth. A celebrated limited discovery in 1985 yielded extraordinary Papagoite-in-Quartz crystals, and with the mine now closed, great old material has become increasingly difficult to acquire. Highly sought after!

Seeing THREE killer examples together is something special.

Rare minerals. Legendary locality. Absolutely insane color.

These are exactly the kind of pieces that remind me why the hunt never ends.
