TRI-COLOR DENTON MINE MAGIC
This is exactly why Illinois Fluorite is so addictive.
An incredible tri-color Fluorite from the Denton Mine, Harris Creek Mining Sub-District, Hardin County, Illinois — showing off beautiful color zoning with layers of purple, blue and yellow running through those stacked, interlocking cubes.
The zoning on this piece is AWESOME. Deep saturated purple dominates, but get the light behind it and the different bands and subtle color transitions start revealing themselves throughout the crystal. Add in the stepped cubic growth, translucency, and all those intricate internal details, and there’s something new to discover from every angle.
That combination of three colors + killer zoning + classic Illinois cubic geometry makes this one seriously special.
A little piece of Illinois mining history absolutely LOADED with color.
