MIRROR-FINISH HEMATITE BEAUTIES
OtherMIRROR-FINISH HEMATITE BEAUTIES
These two are absolutely mesmerizing.
A killer pair of Hematites from the N’Chwaning II Mine, Kalahari Manganese Field, Northern Cape, South Africa — displaying that incredible jet-black, mirror-like metallic luster that makes this material so special.
The faces are so reflective they almost look polished, but that glassy metallic brilliance is straight from the Earth. Sharp edges, bold crystal form, incredible geometry, and surfaces that catch and throw back the light like actual mirrors.
Side by side, these beauties are pure mineral sculpture. The larger piece has commanding presence, while the smaller crystal packs the same ridiculous reflectivity into a compact little stunner.
Nature made the mirrors.
