A reel featuring some of the absolute incredible beauties in my collection — and every single specimen has its own personality, color, locality, and story.

From electric blues and deep purples to screaming reds, neon greens, golden zoning and insane multicolor crystals… this is exactly why I’m obsessed with fine minerals. Put them against black and suddenly every termination, growth line, inclusion, color zone and crystal face seems to explode.

Aquamarines. Tanzanites. Tourmalines. Fluorites. Amethysts. Rhodochrosites. Heliodors. And some truly special combinations from legendary localities around the world.

Some are gemmy and nearly flawless. Others are all about wild formations, associations and character. But they all have one thing in common — they stopped me in my tracks when I found them.

That’s what collecting is about for me. The hunt. The discovery. Finding that one specimen that makes you stare a little longer and say, “WOW… how did the Earth make this?”
