This piece is just covered in blue.

An exceptional Shattuckite on Quartz from Sanda, Mindouli, Republic of the Congo, exploding with intensely saturated cobalt-to-electric-blue Shattuckite across a sparkling Quartz matrix.

What makes this one so special is the sheer density and variety of the Shattuckite formations — bold rounded botryoidal growths surrounded by dozens of smaller blue pops cascading across the Quartz. Everywhere you look, there’s another hit of that ridiculous Congo blue.

And at only 42 × 28 mm, the amount of color, texture, and visual impact packed into this miniature is insane.

That contrast between the icy crystalline Quartz and screaming electric-blue Shattuckite is what does it for me. A small specimen with HUGE presence.
