Just a peek inside one of my favorite cases — absolutely loaded with juicy Fluorites, with a major focus on the legendary mines of Southern Illinois.
Minerva No. 1, Minerva No. 2, Denton, Annabel Lee, Cave-in-Rock and more… an explosion of blues, purples, yellows, ambers and wild zoning packed onto these shelves.
What I love about Illinois Fluorite is how much personality each locality has. From those unmistakable blue and purple zoned cubes, to electric yellows, deep grape tones, incredible phantoms and crazy combinations — you can spend forever looking through this case and still find something you missed.
Some pieces were hunted down one at a time, others came from old collections with incredible provenance, but every specimen earned its spot.
And this is only a preview…
