Frozen sunlight carved by time.
Some crystals don’t just catch the light… they seem to create it.
This extraordinary 117 gram etched Heliodor from the legendary Volyn region of Ukraine is one of those rare specimens that completely stops you in your tracks. Every surface has been naturally sculpted by ancient chemical processes, leaving behind breathtaking etchings that look as though nature spent millions of years hand-carving a masterpiece.
The crystal glows with an impossibly rich golden hue, while its razor-sharp architecture and glassy transparency allow light to pour through it like liquid sunshine. From every angle, new textures, reflections, and hidden details reveal themselves, making it a specimen you could admire for hours and still discover something new.
Mounted on a custom base, this is one of the true centerpieces of my personal collection—a reminder of why the hunt for exceptional minerals never gets old.
