This is exactly why I can never get enough of the great Illinois fluorites. An absolutely gorgeous Fluorite from the legendary Minerva Mine No. 1, Hardin County, Illinois, showing an incredible combination of rich golden-yellow, electric blue, and soft lilac-purple zoning.

Backlit, this piece completely transforms. That warm honey-yellow interior glows while the blue and lilac zones light up around the edges and across the overlapping cubic faces. The contrast is ridiculous—three completely different color families coming together naturally in one specimen.

The stacked, intergrown cubes give it incredible architecture and depth, with every angle revealing another layer of color. This is the kind of classic Minerva No. 1 fluorite that makes Illinois material so addictive to collect.
