Another absolutely incredible Buks Claim Amethyst on matrix, and this one has the size and composition to really command attention.

Measuring an impressive 12 × 12 × 13 cm high, a beautiful deep-purple Amethyst crystal rises dramatically from its natural matrix. The contrast is killer—the rich violet and purple color against that rugged, earthy host rock makes the crystal look like it was just uncovered in the pocket.

Up close, there is so much going on. The crystal shows beautiful transparency, glassy faces, a strong termination and layers of purple that shift from lighter violet into deeper saturated zones. I especially love the natural character around the crystal and the smaller Amethyst growth tucked into the matrix below it.

Pieces like this tell the whole story. Not just an Amethyst crystal, but a piece of the pocket itself preserved exactly as nature created it. That is what makes great matrix specimens so special to me.
