Filmed against the soft, moody backdrop of the rain, this 37.58 gram Tourmaline from the legendary Malkhan Pegmatite Field, Krasnyi Chikoy, Russia absolutely comes alive.

Deep burgundy and rich wine-red tones dominate the crystal, while flashes of pink and warm copper appear as it moves through the changing natural light. The sharp termination, strong vertical striations, beautiful transparency, and elongated form give it that unmistakable old-school collector presence I love.

And with the gray skies and rain falling behind it, those saturated colors look even more intense.
