HESSONITE GARNET FIRE FROM JEFFREY MINE
What a killer little crystal cluster.
This beautiful Hessonite Garnet from the legendary Jeffrey Mine in Val-des-Sources (formerly Asbestos), Quebec, Canada is absolutely glowing with rich honey-orange and cognac tones. The color, luster, and stacked crystal formation give this miniature an incredible amount of presence.
I especially love the way the individual Garnet crystals grow together into this wild sculptural composition—hit it with the light and those warm orange tones just come alive.
Small specimen. BIG personality. Another awesome example of the mineral treasures that have come from this iconic Canadian locality.
