This is the kind of color that almost doesn’t look real.

An incredible Calcite var. Cobalt-Bearing from the Mashamba West-Dikulwe Mine, Sicomines Copper-Cobalt Project, Mutshatsha, Lualaba Province, DR Congo — absolutely SCREAMING with electric hot-pink color.

Hold this beauty up to the light and it completely ignites. The saturation goes from intense bubblegum pink to almost neon magenta, with beautiful translucency allowing that color to glow straight through the crystal.

And the crystal form is killer — bold, chunky, lustrous and incredibly aesthetic. This isn’t subtle color… this is a full-on COLOR BOMB.

One of those little specimens that punches WAY above its size. Earth’s art turned up to maximum saturation.
