DENTON MINE PURPLE WITH A DARK SIDE.
This is one seriously cool Illinois classic. Deep, saturated purple Fluorite from the legendary Denton Mine, Hardin County, Illinois, contrasted by a dramatic coating of bitumen that gives the specimen an almost blackened, rugged exterior.
Then you hit it with light… and that electric purple absolutely explodes from within. The contrast between the dark bitumen and glowing violet fluorite gives this piece incredible character and makes it unlike your typical Denton specimen.
A killer example of just how diverse and fascinating the Illinois fluorites can be. Nature’s art with some serious attitude.
