THE ZONING ON THIS ONE IS ABSOLUTELY WILD.
Some fluorites stop you in your tracks… this is one of them.
This incredible Minerva No. 1 Mine fluorite from the legendary Cave-in-Rock Mining District of Hardin County, Illinois is everything I love about world-class Illinois fluorite. Razor-sharp cubic growth, outstanding luster, and some of the most mesmerizing color zoning you’ll ever see.
The transition from deep royal purple into icy blue creates an almost glowing effect, and every slight turn under the light reveals a completely different personality. It’s the kind of specimen that keeps pulling you back for “just one more look.”
Pieces with zoning this dramatic and aesthetics this clean have become increasingly difficult to source. This is exactly why the hunt never gets old.
Presented on a custom Sunnywood base that perfectly showcases every angle of this collector-grade beauty.
The hunt continues…
