140.62 GRAMS OF FROZEN BLUE PERFECTION

Even Buddy had to stop and take a closer look.

Some aquamarines have a presence that’s impossible to ignore… and this newly acquired 140.62 gram Shigar Valley aquamarine is one of them.

Recovered from the legendary Shigar Valley, Pakistan, this crystal glows with that unmistakable icy blue color collectors chase. It’s exceptionally gemmy, beautifully transparent, and features bold black schorl (tourmaline) inclusions that create an incredible contrast against the crystal’s frozen blue interior. The sharp prism faces, natural frosted etching near the base, and overall balance make this a truly elite specimen.

Finding Shigar aquamarines with this combination of size, color, clarity, aesthetics, and character has become increasingly difficult. Pieces like this are the ones that disappear into advanced collections and rarely come back out.

Buddy may have been curious… but this one isn’t becoming a chew toy.

This is exactly why I never stop hunting. Every once in a while, a crystal comes along that reminds you why the search is worth it.
