The pleochroism is incredible. Rotate the crystal and it moves through intense electric blue, rich violet-purple and those beautiful greenish-golden tones that make natural unheated Tanzanite so fascinating. Every angle gives you something completely different.

Add the glassy transparency, strong luster and beautiful natural crystal form, and this little specimen has serious presence for only 3.12 grams.

This is why I love Tanzanite in its natural state. Millions of years of pressure, chemistry, heat and chance created these colors—and nature absolutely nailed this one.
