An absolutely killer 18.87 gram Tourmaline from Barra do Salinas, Minas Gerais, Brazil—and that color transition is everything.

The crystal explodes into an electric, saturated green through the upper section before transitioning into deep smoky burgundy and reddish-brown tones toward the base. The contrast is incredible, especially combined with the glassy luster, strong vertical striations, beautiful transparency, and sharp natural termination.

Barra do Salinas is legendary for producing some of Brazil’s most beautiful multicolored elbaite tourmalines, and this little powerhouse shows exactly why. The zoning is dramatic, the saturation is intense, and the crystal has serious presence for only 18.87 grams.
