Two next-level gem tourmalines from the legendary Rubaya, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo, filmed from my hotel window overlooking the palm trees below.

As the sunlight poured through these crystals, their incredible transparency and rich raspberry-red to emerald-green color zoning came alive. Rubaya has earned its reputation for producing some of the world’s finest modern tourmalines, and these two are everything collectors hope to find—exceptional color, outstanding gem quality, and pristine crystal form.
