A couple shelves from my mineral cabinet… and every time I stop to look, they make me smile.

The Illinois fluorites steal the show with their unbelievable blues, purples, yellows, and glowing color play, but they’re surrounded by a few other favorite treasures collected over the years. Every specimen has its own story, its own journey, and its own reason for being here.

Bright colors have always had a way of lifting my mood, and few things do it better than a cabinet full of nature’s finest creations. This is why I collect.
