Minerva magic in motion…

There’s something about a great Minerva fluorite that never gets old, and this beauty is a perfect reminder why the legendary Minerva No. 1 Mine remains one of the most revered fluorite localities in the world.

As the light moves across the specimen, icy blues, rich golds, warm ambers, and subtle violet zoning come alive, creating a constantly shifting display of color that feels almost impossible for nature to have created. Every angle reveals a new surprise—phantoms, color transitions, and razor-sharp cubic geometry that made Minerva fluorites famous among collectors.

Mined from Southern Illinois’ legendary Harris Creek District, these specimens represent a bygone era of fluorite collecting. With the mine closed since 1996, top-tier examples have become increasingly difficult to find, making pieces like this all the more special.

Sharp. Gemmy. Saturated.

The kind of fluorite that reminds you why Illinois remains the gold standard.
